Objective

Goodwill Re-Entry Services

Studies show significant reduction in recidivism when citizens re-entering the community gain education, skills, and gainful employment. Goodwill’s Re-Entry Services are aimed at helping Kansans involved in the justice system successfully maintain their freedom. This program utilizes NexStep Alliance, a partnership of Goodwill Industries of Kansas and WSU Tech, an accredited adult education program allowing qualified participants the opportunity to study a technical career and earn their high school diploma upon completion. With guidance, they will move into an in-demand career to support their goals and family.

Individuals on probation/parole may apply to the program through their probation/parole officer.

With the support of various community partners, Goodwill Re-Entry Services utilize a three-tiered system to help students achieve their goals.

Education

Goodwill-authored legislation allows participants immediate, tuition-paid access to fully-accredited college classes that result in industry certifications and a Kansas High School Diploma.

Turning a job into a career takes training in communication, problem solving, digital skills, and personal finances. We provide life skills training that covers all of these important topics and more.
